Running ElectionMapsUK is a genuine passion. I started this project because I believe that understanding our democracy shouldn't be difficult. My goal is to create clear, accurate, and insightful maps and data visualisations that make the complicated world of UK elections accessible to everyone.

Every map, projection and new website feature is a product of many hours of research, data analysis, and design. It's a labour of love, but it also involves real-world costs in both time and money to keep the project running and constantly improving.

Where Your Contribution Goes:

• Website: Covering the annual fees for the electionmaps.uk domain name and our Squarespace website hosting.

• Software: Essential software subscriptions are vital for creating high-quality content. This includes Adobe Photoshop for map design and X Premium to effectively share and analyse results on social media.

• Hardware: Occasional hardware upgrades when necessary, ensuring I can produce work quickly and efficiently, especially on busy election nights.

• My Time: This is the most significant factor. Your support allows me to justify dedicating hundreds of hours to this project, ensuring the content keeps coming.
