Hello, I’m Matt.

I started running ElectionMapsUK in 2018, when I was 16-years-old. What began as a niche personal project to track opinion polls and by-election results has evolved into the UK’s most followed independent psephological platform.

I run the operation solo to this day, serving a community of over 200,000 followers on X and 20,000 on Bluesky, including over half of sitting MPs.

My body of work now includes multiple poll trackers, election models, and a swathe of topical data visualisations. The ElectionMapsUK Nowcast model was one of two models to predict the correct winner in over 90% of seats in GE2024. My analysis has also been featured by BBC Newsnight and ITV Peston, as well as several national newspapers.
