Hello, I'm Matt.

Back in 2018, when I was 16 and should have been spending my time underage drinking or revising for GCSEs, I instead took over @ElectionMapsUK, which had been set up a year prior. I wanted to make sense of the endless polling and political noise for myself.

Somehow, what began as the spreadsheet obsession of a teenager who really needed to get out more has spiralled into a community of over 200,000 of you on X and 18,000 on BlueSky, and to my recurring surprise, has had content featured on outlets including BBC Newsnight and ITV's Peston.

Now 23, I still run this whole operation solo. I try to do my best to stick to the numbers, because the opinions are usually loud enough already.
