Hello, I’m Matt.

I founded ElectionMapsUK in 2018, when I was 16-years-old. What began as a personal project to track polling data has evolved into one of the UK’s most-cited independent psephological platforms.

Today, I still run the operation solo. The platform now serves a community of over 200,000 followers on X, including leading journalists and over half of sitting MPs.

My focus is on projection modelling and data visualization. I created the ElectionMapsUK Nowcast - one of two models to predict the correct winner in over 90% of seats in GE2024 - was commissioned by Omnisis to deliver interactive mapping for the 2024 General Election, and my analysis has been featured by BBC Newsnight, ITV Peston, and national newspapers.
